I Love You Period

Here's a little song for all of you punctuation loving writers out there. Or any of you that ever had a crush on one of your teachers.

Dan Baird first gained notoriety as the lead singer of the Georgia Satellites. You know who they are right? Come on, I know you have sang along to the words ... I got a little change in my pocket going jingle lingle ling ...

I love that song "Change..". I did not know this guy sang for them or that song he sang. LOL!

Jenn - I don't blame you. I hear those Gooblies can be hard to spot and if that shelf was made of pine then you most definitely should take it off there. :)

He has such pretty hair.

Did you notice how his hair just floated around so freely in the wind like that?

Long, silky, shiny....

Hey, I really liked that song.

Except everybody knows that a rockabilly song about punctuation just isn't complete without mentioning something about comma splices.

Sheesh.

Perhaps he could cut back on the deep conditioners and hot oil treatments and save up for some minor orthodontic work?

Juth thayin'.

Have to laugh at packsaddle (once again!) I was thinking to myself, with two hit songs, couldn't he afford to get that gap between his teeth fixed?! One would think....

However, I hadn't heard that song in years! About a minute into it I started to recognize it and by the chorus I was singing along! How sad is that?!

But it scares me that this might the "schoolhouse" rock of the new millineum, not entirely accurate!

Remember "Conjunction, junction, what's our function? hooking up words, and phrases, and clauses..." Everybody sing!

Have fun in Vegas..when are you outta here (this new found "rain" forest!)

LOVE Baird and the Satellites. Great stuff, underrated as heck. I was listening to the "other" GS song "Battleship Chains" just the other day.

And Baird also had a great song with "Knocked Up."

You got knocked up, and I got locked up, I guess you could say we both got screwed...

If you thought that Jeep was a sweet ride, you need to dig into my archives and find my "You Might Be a Bass Fisherman If" from June '07.
